Founded by Kenny Shiflett, a certified irrigation auditor and contractor, our company has proudly served the Shenandoah Valley area and Charlottesville, Virginia, with top-notch irrigation and lighting solutions.
In 2024, All Seasons Irrigation & Lighting joined the J5 LLC family, a partnership that allows us to expand our offerings and expertise. J5 LLC also owns and operates the Waynesboro Landscape and Garden Center and the Virginia Boxwood Company. Under this new umbrella, we continue to provide the same reliable services while also offering comprehensive landscape design and installation, and access to the finest plants, trees, and flowers.

Kenny Shiflett
Kenny is a native of Virginia with over 35 years of Irrigation & Lighting experience. His knowledge and history with all aspects of Irrigation & Lighting has generated tremendous customer loyalty and appreciation. Kenny has owned several successful businesses and officially partnered with the Johnson Family in February 2024. He serves as a Senior Leader and key decision-maker for the All Seasons Irrigation & Lighting operation. In his free time, Kenny enjoys fishing, traveling out West, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Dan Torgerson
Dan is a native of Virginia with over 30 years of Irrigation & Lighting experience. He has developed tremendous customer loyalty through his unique ability to problem-solve and also specializes in dealing with pumps. Dan has owned his own successful business and officially partnered with the Johnson Family in March 2024. He serves as a Senior Leader and key decision-maker for the All Seasons Irrigation & Lighting operation. In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, and anything outdoors.
Michelle Cottrell:
Michelle is a Virginia Native, residing in Nelson County for over 30 years. Michelle serves as Office Manager and brings more than 24 years of customer service within the Irrigation industry to our team. Her experience allows her the ability to provide initial trouble shooting ahead of the Technician being on site. Michelle’s favorite part of the job is the long-term customer relationships. In her free time she enjoys hanging at home with the dogs, family and friends.
Matt Lucas:
Matt is from Louisa, Virginia and brings 16 years of irrigation experience to the team. Matt enjoys bringing comic relief to the team while creating the irrigation system. Matt finds satisfaction when the job is complete and the beauty is overflowing from the gardens. In his free time he enjoys hunting and fishing with his daughter Paige.
Ryan Pickwoad:
Ryan is from Eastern Shore, Maryland and moved to Waynesboro, Virginia 25 years ago. Ryan serves as an Irrigation & Lighting Technician and has a degree in Warehouse Logistics allowing him to bring a vast array of experiences to the team. His favorite part of the job is the interactions that he has with the customers and the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve to provide quality service and satisfaction. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, camping and being outdoors.
Devin Bell:
Devin is from Verona, Virginia and graduated from Fort Defiance High School. He serves as an Irrigation & Lighting Technician and his favorite part of the job is the opportunity and education provided to broaden his skill set. In his free time, Devon enjoys cowboying and fishing.
Kim Johnson:
Kim is originally from Silver Spring and earned her Bachelor's of Science in Human Nutrition and Foods from Virginia Tech and Master's coursework and internship through Texas A&M University. Her career started as a dietitian, and she has spent the last 24 years raising her three children Jacob, Nathan, and Abigail while supporting her husband Craig in his Executive career. Kim and Craig partner together in overseeing all aspects of the business and she is the primary buyer for all merchandise in the retail operation. When not at work, Kim enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, reading and vacationing with family.
Craig Johnson:
Craig is originally from Baltimore and earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration and Master's in Business Administration Degrees from Loyola University in Maryland. He has spent the last 30 years in the Insurance and Financial Services industry most recently as Chairman, President, and CEO of a super-regional insurance company. Family is everything to Craig and he is the proud husband to Kim and father to Jacob, Nathan, and Abigail. Craig and Kim partner together in overseeing all aspects of the business with his primary focus being leadership, business development, communication and finance. When not at work, Craig enjoys golfing, hiking, exercising and vacationing with family.
Nathan Johnson:
Nathan is originally from the Baltimore area and grew up in Sarasota, Florida. He earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi where he met his wife Kate. Nathan wears a lot of hats and supports the company through performing various financial and operational functions, assisting customers in the store, and performing landscape deliveries and installations. Nathan is an avid sports fan having played elite hockey, football, and baseball as a youngster and still enjoys playing hockey and golf to this day.
Carla Thomas:
Carla is a native of Waynesboro, Virginia and has been an instrumental part of the team for over 20 years. She has earned 3 Bachelor's Degrees including Accounting and Music Performance from Bluefield University and Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University. Carla wears many hats including accounting, administration, supervising our Customer Service Associates, and much more. Her experience and journey have equipped her to encourage all our teammates to be the best they can be in fulfilling our mission of delivering quality landscape and garden products and services and an exceptional customer experience. When she is not working, Carla enjoys spending time with family and cooking!
